Abstract

ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கம்
குறிஞ்சிப் பாட்டு சங்க கால தமிழ் இலக்கிய நூல். பத்துப்பாட்டில் எட்டாவதாகிய குறிஞ்சிப் பாட்டு ‘பெருங்குறிஞ்சி’ என்று பெயர் பெற்றதாகும். இதனை இயற்றியவர் கபிலர். குறிஞ்சிப் பாடல் குறிஞ்சித் திணையைப் பற்றிய பாடல். இங்கு குறிஞ்சி என்பது புணர்தலை உரிப்பொருளாகக் கொண்ட திணை. திணை என்பது ஒழுக்கம் நிகழும் இடம். குறிஞ்சியாவது இயற்கைப் புணர்ச்சியும், பின்னர் நிகழும் புணர்ச்சிகளுக்கு நிமித்தங்களும் கூறுவதாகும். இந்த ஆய்வின் நோக்கமானது குறிஞ்சிப் பாடல்களில் உவமை இடைச்சொல்லைக் கண்டறிவதும் பகுத்தாய்தலும் ஆகும். இஃது ஒரு பண்புசார் ஆய்வாக அமைகிறது. மொத்தம் 261 அடிகள் கொண்ட பத்துப்பாட்டில் 33 உவமைகளும் 2 உள்ளுறை உவமங்களும் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளதைக் கண்டறியப்பட்டன. அவற்றில் குறிப்பிட்ட சில பத்துப்பாட்டு வரிகளை இவ்வாய்வுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டன.

Abstract
Kurinjippaatu is a Sangam-era Tamil literary work. In the Pattuppaattu anthology, Kurinjippaatu is the eighth composition, also known as Perunkurinji. It was composed by the poet Kapilar. The poem belongs to the Kurunji thinai (mountain landscape theme). Here, kurinji refers to the thinai (literary landscape) associated with premarital union. A thinai is the contextual setting in which social behaviour occurs. Kurinji specifically deals with natural unions and the circumstances that lead to such unions.
The purpose of this study is to identify and analyse the use of simile particles in Kurinjippaatu. This is a qualitative literary study. Within the total 261 lines of the poem, 33 similes and 2 internal similes were identified. Selected verses from the Pattuppaattu were examined for this research.
