Abstract

ஆய்வுச்சாரம்
புறநானூறு பாடல்களில் இருக்கும் குற்றியலுகரப் பயன்பாட்டினைக் கண்டறிந்து அதனை விளக்குவதே இந்த ஆய்வின் நோக்கமாகும். குற்றியலுகரம் என்பது தனிநெடிலுக்குப் பிறகும் அல்லது இரண்டுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட எழுத்துகளுடைய சொல்லின் இறுதியிலும் வருகிற கு, சு, டு, து, பு, று என்ற வல்லின உயிர்மெய்யுடன் சேர்ந்து அரை மாத்திரை அளவு ஒலிப்பதே ஆகும். அவ்வகையில், இந்த ஆய்வில் ஆய்வாளர் குற்றியலுகரத்தில் இருக்கும் ஆறு வகையான வன்றொடர்க் குற்றியலுகரம், மென்றொடர்க் குற்றியலுகரம், இடைத்தொடர்க் குற்றியலுகரம், உயிர்த்தொடர்க் குற்றியலுகரம், ஆய்தத்தொடர்க் குற்றியலுகரம் என இவ்வாறான அனைத்து வகைகளையும் புறநானூற்றுப் பாடல்களைச் சான்றுகளாக கொண்டும் இந்த ஆய்வில் காட்டியுள்ளார். மேலும், இந்த ஆய்வில் புறநானூறு பாடல்களில் முதல் 200 பாடல்களில் குறிப்பிட்ட சில பாடல்கள் மட்டுமே தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு அவற்றில் இருக்கும் குற்றியலுகர சான்றுகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டி இந்த ஆய்வில் காட்டியுள்ளார். இந்த ஆய்வானது பண்புசார் அணுகுமுறையில் கையாளப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும், இந்த ஆய்வில் குற்றியலுகரமும் புறநானூறும் கொண்டு நடத்தப்பட்ட முந்தைய ஆய்வுகள் சிலது தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு அதனின் தரவுகள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஆய்வாளர் புறநானூறு பாடல்களில் இருக்கும் குற்றியலுகரப் பயன்பாட்டினைத் தகுந்த சான்றுகளுடன் காட்டியுள்ளார். அவ்வகையில் இவ்வாய்வு புறநானூறு பாடல்களில் இருக்கும் குற்றியலுகர பயன்பாட்டினைக் கண்டறிந்துக் காட்டுவது ஆகும்.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify and explain the use of Kuṟṟiyalukaram in the poems of Purananuru. Kuṟṟiyalukaram refers to the shortened pronunciation, for half a māttirai (metrical unit), of the hard consonant-vowel combinations ku, cu, ṭu, tu, pu, and ṟu when they occur after an independent long vowel or at the end of a word consisting of more than two letters.
Accordingly, in this study, the researcher examines the various types of Kuṟṟiyalukaram, namely Vaṉtoṭar Kuṟṟiyalukaram, Meṉtoṭar Kuṟṟiyalukaram, Iṭaittoṭar Kuṟṟiyalukaram, Uyirtoṭar Kuṟṟiyalukaram, and Āytattoṭar Kuṟṟiyalukaram, using examples drawn from the poems of Purananuru. Furthermore, selected poems from among the first 200 poems of Purananuru were chosen for this study, and examples of Kuṟṟiyalukaram found in those poems were identified and illustrated. This study adopts a qualitative approach. In addition, several previous studies related to Kuṟṟiyalukaram and Purananuru were selected and their relevant findings and data were presented.
The researcher has demonstrated the use of Kuṟṟiyalukaram in Purananuru poems with appropriate textual evidence. Thus, this study seeks to identify and illustrate the use of Kuṟṟiyalukaram in the poems of Purananuru.
