Abstract

1983இல் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட புதிய பாடத்திட்டத்தின் அமலாக்கத்தின் உள்ளார்ந்த அறிவைப் பற்றியும் அவ்வமயம் ஒவ்வொரு திறனைக் கற்பித்தலின் எவ்வாறு குறைநீக்கற் கற்பித்தல் வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டது என்பதைப் பற்றியும் இவ்வாய்வுக் கட்டுரை விவரிக்கின்றது. கே.எஸ்.எஸ்.ஆர் (KSSR) எனும் பாடத்திட்டத்தில் வரையறுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள எட்டு (8) வாசிப்புத் திறன்களுள் இரண்டை மட்டும் இவ்வாய்வு மையப்படுத்துகிறது. வாசிப்பில் வலிவின்மையைக் களைய ஆய்வாளர் சில அணுகுமுறைகளைப் பரிந்துரைக்கப்படுகிறது. இவ்வணுகுறைகளால் 2.5 (புதிய சொற்களை வாசித்தலும் பொருள் அறிதலும்) 2.6 (பலதரப்பட்ட வாசிப்புப் பகுதிகளை வாசித்துப் புரிந்துகொள்ளல்) ஆகிய திறன்களில் திறமையை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம். இவ்வாய்வுக் கட்டுரையைத் தயாரிப்பதில் டாக்டர் சுப்பு ரெட்டியார் அவர்களின் ஆய்வு பேருதுவியாக அமைந்திருந்தது. அவர் தம் ஆய்வில் வாசிப்புத் திறனை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள ஐந்து முறைகளை வகுத்துள்ளார். அவை, எழுத்து முறை, சொல் முறை, பார்த்துச்சொல்லும் முறை, சொற்றொடர் முறை, கதை முறை ஆகும். இந்த ஆய்வு இலகுவான பயிற்சிகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய முறைகளைத் தொகுத்துள்ளது. எடுத்துக்காட்டாக, ஒரேழுத்தைக் கொடுக்கச் சொல் தேடுதல்; ஈரெழுத்துச் சொற்களைத் தேடுதல்; இரண்டு சொற்களால் எளிதான சொற்றொடரை உருவாக்குதல் போன்றவை. இறுதியாக, இந்த ஆய்வு பையப்பயிலும் மாணவர்களின் வாசிப்புத் திறனை மேம்படுத்த வெற்றி கண்டுள்ளது என்பது கண்டறியமுடிந்தது.

This study aims to describes the background knowledge of the implementation of the new curriculum introduced in 1983 and how remedial teaching of each skill was emphasized at the time. This study focused on only two of the eight (8) reading skills defined in the KSSR curriculum. A few approaches are recommended to the researcher to overcome the problems in reading skills. These deficits can be improve skills in 2.5 (reading and understanding new words) and 2.6 (reading and understanding a variety of reading passages). Dr. Suppu Rethiyaar’s research was instrumental in preparing this study. In his research, he lays out five methods for developing reading skills. They are writing skills, words skills, visual skills, phrase skills and story skills. This study summarizes the methods for performing with easier exercises. An example, searching for words to give monosyllables; searching for synonyms; like making a simple sentences with two words. Finally, it was found that this study was successful in improving students’ reading skills in grade school.
