Feminism thoughts in a traditional poem book titled ‘Uravugal’

‘உறவுகள்’ மரபு கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு நூலில் காணப்படும் பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனைகள்

Abstract

‘உறவுகள்’ மரபு கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு நூலில் பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனைகளை ஆராய்தல் என்பதே ஆய்வின் நோக்கமாகும். பெண்கள் மீது வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் சமூகக் கட்டுப்பாடுகளையும் கருத்துப் போக்குகளையும் மாற்ற வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில் பேசுவதும் எழுதுவதுமே பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனையாகும். பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனைகள் குறித்து ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டாலும், அவை தமிழ்நாட்டு இலக்கியச் சூழலில் கவிதைகளிலும் மலேசிய இலக்கியச் சூழலில் சிறுகதைகளிலும் மையப்படுத்தி உள்ளன. அதனால், இலக்கியச் சூழலிலும் இலக்கிய வகையிலும் ஆய்வாளரின் ஆய்வு முன்னாய்வோடு வேறுபடுகின்றது. மலேசியக் கவிஞர் ஆதம் குமார் என அறியப்படும் அப்துல் ஹாதீ அவர்கள் மரபு கவிதைகள் இயற்றுவதில் நல்லாலுமை பெற்றவர். பெண்களின் வாழ்வியல் நலனிலும் எதிர்காலத்திலும் அக்கறை கொண்டவர் என அவருடைய கவிதைகள் சான்று நிறுவுகின்றன. ஆகவே, ‘உறவுகள்’ எனும் அவருடைய கவிதைத் தொகுப்பில் பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனை குறித்த இவ்வாய்வு ஏற்றதாகவே உள்ளது. இக்கவிதைத் தொகுப்பில் உள்ள 110 கவிதைகளும் ஆய்வுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவ்வாய்வு கவிதைத் தொகுப்பினை முதன்மைப்படுத்தி இருப்பதால் இஃது ஒரு நூலக ஆய்வாகும். கவிதைத் தொகுப்பில் பெண்ணியம் குறித்த சிந்தனைகள் கண்டறியப்பட்டுச் சிறுதலைப்புகள் வழி பண்புசார் முறையில்  விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவை பெண்கள் பல்துறையில் துணிந்து ஈடுபடுதல், பெண்கள் விருப்பத்திற்கு மதிப்பளித்தல், ஏழைமைப் பெண்களும் வாழத் தகுதியாகுதல்,  பெண்களுக்கு ஆண்களுடனான பழக்கத்தில் அளவு அறிதல், பெண்கள் இடமறிந்து துணிவோடு செயல்படுதல் என்பவை ஆய்வுக் கண்டுபிடிப்பாகும். இந்த ஆய்வானது, தமிழ்க் கவிதைகளில் பெண்ணியச் சிந்தனைகள் குறித்து ஆய்வினை மேற்கொள்ள இருக்கும் இதர ஆய்வாளர்களுக்கு முன்மாதிரியாக அமைந்திடும்.

The objective of this research is to investigate feminism thoughts from the traditional poem book "Uravugal". Feminism thoughts is speaking and writing with the aim of changing the social restrictions and stereotypes placed on women. Although there is no further research on feminism thoughts but in Tamil Nadu literature the topic has been discussed through poems and have developed through short stories in Malaysian Tamil Literature. Therefore, in terms of vortex of literature and its types the researchers' research are differ with the past studies. Malaysian poet Abdul Hathi who is known as Adam Kumar is well known for his poems. He is a person whom cares about women's empowerment and future, this is proven through his evidences which is his poem. So, based on his poem "Uravugal", this poem touches feminism thoughts. About 110 poems have been used for this research from the book titled "Uravugal". This research is carried out through library research and explained in qualitative method which comprises the involvement of women in various fields, the respect given for women's opinion, poor women have equal and same rights like other, the boundaries between women and men, and the boldness of women and their behaviours according to the place, are the findings of this research. This research would be useful if future researchers want to do further research on feminism thoughts.
