Abstract

இவ்வாய்வின் முதன்மை நோக்கம் ஆற்றப்படை நூல்களில் காணப்படும் விருந்தோம்பலை இன்றைய விருந்தோம்பல் நிலையுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு ஆராய்வதாகும். இவ்வாய்வு பண்புசார் ஆய்வு முறையில் அமைகிறது. ஆற்றுப்படை நூல்களில் காணப்படும் விருந்தோம்பலை இன்றைய விருந்தோம்பல் நிலையுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு ஆராயப்பட்டுள்ளதால் இதில் ஒப்பாய்வு முறையும் கையாளப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவ்வாய்வு நூலாய்வு அணுகுமுறையில் கையாளப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவ்வாய்வில் சங்க கால விருந்தோம்பல் தொடங்கி இன்றயை விருந்தோம்பல் வரை ஒப்பிட்டு அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவ்வாய்வின் வழி, இளைய தலைமுறையினர் பண்டைய தமிழர்கள் விருந்தோம்பும் பண்பை எவ்வாறு மதித்துப் போற்றினர் என்றும் பண்டைத்தமிழரின் உணவு முறைகள் ஆகியவை அறிந்து கொள்ள ஒரு வாய்ப்பாக அமைந்துள்ளது. இவ்வாய்வு ஆற்றுப்படை நூல்களில் காணப்படும் விருந்தோம்பலை இன்றைய விருந்தோம்பல் நிலையுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு ஆய்வு செய்யும் முதல் கட்டுரை என்பதை ஆய்வாளர் உறுதி செய்கின்றார்.

The main purpose of this study is to compare the hospitality found in the aatrupadai texts with the hospitality of today. This study is based on the characteristic study method. The comparison method is also handled as the hospitality found in the Aatrupadai texts has been examined in comparison with today's hospitality situation. In this review the hospitality of the Sangam period has been identified by comparing the hospitality of today. Through this study, the younger generation will have the opportunity to learn about how the ancient Tamils valued hospitality and the ancient Tamil cuisine. The researcher confirms that this is the first article in the series to compare the hospitality found in Aatrupadai texts with today's hospitality.
