An Investigation into Tamil Cinema Songs on Poetic Values and Grammar

தமிழ்த்திரையிசைப் பாடல்களில் மரபிலக்கணக் கூறுகளும் கவித்துவமும்

Abstract

புகழ்பெற்ற திரைப்படப் பாடல் வரிகளில் காணப்படும் மரபுகவிதையின் கூறுகளையும் கவித்துவத்தையும் அடையாளம் காண்பதே இவ்வாய்வின் நோக்கமாகும். 1940 முதல் 2023 வரை வெளிவந்த திரைப்படப் பாடல்களில் ஒவ்வொரு 20 ஆண்டுக் கால இடைவெளியில் புகழ்பெற்ற 5 பாடல்களை மட்டும் ஆய்வுக்கான கால அளவு கருதி இணையம், முகநூல், வலையொளி வழி அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டு மொத்தம் 20 பாடல்கள் ஆய்வுக்குத் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டன. இந்த 20 பாடல்களில் காணப்படும் கவித்துவம், மரபிலக்கணக் கூறுகள் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டன.  கவிதை, கவித்துவம், மரபிலக்கணக் கூறுகள் குறித்த தெரிவல்கள் அனைத்தும் அச்சு ஊடகங்களிலும் இணைய ஊடகங்களிலும் வெளிவந்த நூலாய்வின் வழியாகவே பெறப்பட்டன. சாதாரண மக்களின் மனத்தினில் எப்போதும் நின்று அவர்களின் விருப்பப் பாடலாக விளங்கும் சில திரைப்படப் பாடல் வரிகளில் காதல், அன்பு, பாசம், ஏமாற்றம், கவலை, பிரிவுத் துயரம், வீரம், பற்று, தோல்வி என மனிதமன உணர்வுகளோடு ஒன்றிப்போகும் அளவுக்கு அந்தப் பாடல்களில் நிறைந்துள்ள கருத்துக்கள் சிறந்த சொல்லாட்சி, கற்பனை, உவமை, உருவகம், சிலேடை மூலம் சந்தத்தோடும் ராகத்தோடும் வெளிபடுத்தப்படுவதால் திரைப்படப்பாடல்கள் சாதாரண மக்களின் நினைவுகளில் நிலைக்கின்றன என்பதை இந்த ஆய்வு கண்டறிகிறது. பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பாடல்களில் எல்லாப் பாடலையும் மக்கள் நினைவில் கொள்வதில்லை. மேலும், திரைப்படப்பாடல்களில் மரபு பாக்களின் தாக்கம் அமைவதற்குப் பெரும்பாலான கவிஞர்கள் பெற்ற மரபிலக்கணப் பயிற்சியும் ஒரு காரணம். எனவே, காலங்கள் மாறினாலும் திரைப்பாடல்களில் மரபு பாக்களின் தாக்கம் இல்லாமல் இருக்காது. கவித்துவத்தின் தேவையும் குறையாது என்பதை இந்த ஆய்வு புலப்படுத்துகிறது. மேலும் பள்ளிக் குழந்தைகளுக்கும் மரபிலக்கணம் கற்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டுமாயின் கருத்துள்ள மரபு சாயல் உடைய திரைப்பாடல்களைத் தமிழ்மொழி கற்றல் கற்பித்தலில் பயன்படுத்தலாம். மொழிமீது ஈர்ப்பு அதிகரிப்பதோடு மாணவர்கள் கவித்துவ இன்பத்தையும் அனுபவிக்க முடியும்.

The purpose of this study is to identify elements of conventional poetry and poetics found in popular film lyrics.  Among the film songs released from 1940 to 2023, only 5 famous songs were identified in every 20-year interval, and a total of 20 songs were selected for the study.  The poetic and grammatic elements found in these 20 songs were identified.  Information on poetry, poetics and classical grammar elements were all obtained through literature review in print media and online media.  There are some songs that always stand in the minds of common people and become their favourite songs. The lyrics of the movie songs are so much united with the human feelings like romance, love, affection, disappointment, anxiety, separation grief, heroism, attachment, failure and etc. The ideas contained in the songs are excellent rhetoric, imagination and allegory while the metaphor is expressed through the pun with rhythm and rhymes. This shows that film songs remain in the memories of common people due to these factors. Though tens of thousands of songs are released people don't tend to remember every song but the lyrics with good melody lingers in their minds. The influence of traditional poems on film songs is just inevitable. One of the reasons for this is the traditional poem writing training that most of the film song writers received. Times may have changed but the influence of traditional poems in cinema songs still remain. This study shows that the need for traditional poetry does not diminish even in cinema lyrics.   The traditional poetry grammar should be taught to school children and Tamil-language cinema songs with a traditional poetry touch can be used in teaching and learning. This initiative will increase students' interest in language learning and   can also help enjoy poetic pleasure.
