கவிஞர் பொன்முடியின் மரபு கவிதைகளில் கையாளப்பட்டுள்ள உருவக அணி

Abstract

மரபுகவிதைகள், கற்பனை நயத்துடன் செறிவான கருத்துகளை உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமாக வாசகர்களிடத்தில் சேர்க்கின்றன. இருப்பினும், மரபுகவிதைகளில் புதைபொருளைக் கொண்டுவரும் உருவக அணியைக் கருத்துணர்வதில் வாசகர்கள் சிரமத்தை எதிர்நோக்குகின்றனர். ஏனெனில், கவிதையை உய்த்துணர உயர்நிலை சிந்தனைத் திறனைக் கொண்டிருப்பது அவசியம். கவிதையை வாசிப்பவர்கள் இத்திறனை அவசியம் கைவரப் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும் (Bujang & Subet, 2021). அவ்வகையில், தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட மரபுகவிதைகளில் கையாளப்பட்டிருக்கும் உருவக அணிகளின் பொருளை விளக்குவதும், அவற்றின் புதைபொருளை இன்றைய இளையோர் எவ்வாறு விளங்கிக் கொண்டுள்ளனர் என்பதை விவரிப்பதுமே இக்கட்டுரையின் நோக்கங்களாகும். இக்கட்டுரை கவிஞர் பொன்முடியின் ‘பொன்முடி கவிதைகள்’ எனும் கவிதைத் தொகுப்பைத் தரவுமூலமாகக் கொண்டு படைக்கப்படும். இந்நூலில் பல்வகை கருப்பொருள்களில் அமைந்த மரபுகவிதைகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. அக்கவிதைகளில் காணப்படும் உருவக அணிகள், Lakoff, Johnson (1980) என்போரால், பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட உருவகக் கருத்துருக் கோட்பாட்டின் (Conceptual Metaphor Theory) அடிப்படையில் பகுப்பாய்வு செய்யப்படும். வாசகர்கள் மரபுகவிதைகளில் இடம்பெறும் உருவக அணிகளின் புதைபொருளைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளவும், இலக்கிய ஆசிரியர்கள் மரபு கவிதைகளைக் கற்பிக்கும்பொழுது அவற்றின் பொருளை மாணவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவுப்படுத்தவும் இக்கட்டுரை துணைசெய்யும். அதுமட்டுமன்றி, எதிர்காலத்தில் இத்துறையில் ஆய்வை மேற்கொள்ள விழையும் ஆய்வாளர்களுக்கும் இக்கட்டுரை வழிகாட்டும்..

Classical poetry conveys ideas that are rich in imagination and touch the soul of the reader. However, readers have difficulty understanding the metaphorical arrangement that conveys the implied meaning in classical poetry. According to Bujang & Subet (2021) readers must master high level thinking skills (KBAT) in living the classic poetry. Therefore, this article aims to explain the meaning of the metaphors contained in classical poetry by selected Ponmudi poets and test the understanding of the younger generation on the conceptual meanings of metaphors contained in these poems. This article was written based on the Ponmudi Poetry collection entitled 'Ponmudi Poetry' where this study material contains classical poetry with various themes. The metaphors contained in this classic poem will be analyzed based on the Extended Conceptual Metaphorical Theory proposed by koveeses (2020) which is a continuation of the Conceptual Metaphor Theory introduced by Lakoff & Johnson (1980). This article can help readers understand the implicit meaning of metaphors in classical poetry and make it easier for Tamil Literature teachers to convey teaching classical poetry to students effectively. In addition, it is also hoped that the analysis of this study will serve as a guide for future researchers wishing to explore this field and topic.
